Meet Jo Ellen Kane
Attorney Kane has been practicing law since 1992. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center.
Ms. Kane practices in all areas of family law, including divorce, paternity, adoption, domestic violence and the establishment, enforcement and modification of child support, spousal support, and child custody matters. She is also eligible to practice law in Texas, Florida and the District of Columbia.
Ms. Kane previously served as co-chair of the Family Law Section of the Lee County Bar Association, Vice-President of the Lee County Association of Women Lawyers and is a former board member for the Lee County Legal Aid Society, and the Fort Myers POLO Club and the Association of Family Law Professionals.
Before practicing law, Ms. Kane worked for the Texas House of Representatives, and the United States Senate. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling and exploring Portland’s restaurants and food trucks.
Attorney Kane’s rate is $200 per hour with the first hour consult at $120.
