Portland Family Law Attorneys Can Help You in Child Custody Battles

June 27th, 2014

Divorce has many sides. Not only does it involve two spouses splitting up, but many divorces also involve child custody and child support issues. Although most parents want what’s best for their children, they don’t always see eye-to-eye on those matters when they are going through a divorce. Some divorcing parents even use their children as leverage in a divorce, which is never a good thing.

According to reports, actress Zoe McClellan is apparently in a heated child custody battle with her estranged husband. The actress reportedly recently signed a new deal that will pay her $45,000 an episode for her role in the TV show “NCIS: New Orleans”. According to Ms. McClellan, her husband, who recently filed for divorce is also seeking joint custody, which she claims is simply a ploy to get child support.

Ms. McClellan also claims that her estranged husband, who is a struggling actor, has never been a hands-on father and that he doesn’t even know how to put their 18-month-old son to sleep. Because she hopes to move to New Orleans to shoot episodes of the show she has asked a judge for temporary full custody of her son.
